Danube Arena

The Danube Arena sport facility was constructed for the 2017 FINA swimming world championship. The steel structures were designed, manufactured and assembled on the site by KÉSZ Group. The specialized contractor of the steel structure of the building called in the beginning as Dagály swimming palace was KÉSZ Ipari Gyártó Kft. We are very proud of this project since it received the Tierney Clark Award founded for recognition of engineering creations and the Steel Structure Award of Excellence announced by the Hungarian Steel Structure Association. 

A projekt érdekessége volt, hogy a szerelés során egy Magyarországon különlegesnek számító technológiát alkalmaztunk. A 2.400 tonnás acélszerkezetet egyben megépítve, 6 óra alatt emeltük 44 méteres magasságban a végleges, 17 méter magas helyére.  A Duna Aréna főtetőhöz 10 kilométer csövet és 15 kilométer szelvényt daraboltunk le, melyet összesen 300 kamionnal szállítottunk az építkezés helyszínére. 

A projekten szerzett tapasztalatok sokat segítettek a Puskás Aréna és a Nemzeti Atlétikai Stadion sikeres megvalósításában is.
